The Ensat [R below] supports the force applied to the internal thread with the larger external thread, so it can withstand higher forces than a straight tap. The limit of reinforcement using Enzat [R below] is the inherent shear strength of the mating material or the mechanical strength of the bolts used. The 309 type (slotted type) is suitable for resin and wood, where female threads are prone to breakage.
