In conventional channel brushes, the brush part and the mounting part were fixed together by welding, but the weld could come loose due to the load.
With bar seal brushes, the mounting section and brush section are integrated into a single steel strip, so there is no risk of welding coming loose.
The mounting holes are elongated, so if the brushes wear out they can be adjusted, allowing for long-term use.
